At the invitation of Wideyed, Periskop brings to Sunderland a taste of the ‘Balkan Periskop experience’ – an evening of slideshows on the theme of ‘the social’.
Taking place at Sunderland Minister, the two collectives have worked together to produce an event that combines projections of slideshows curated from Periskop’s impressive back catalogue with those of UK based photographers selected from an open call.
Join us for a lively evening of photography, peanuts and 12% proof spirited debate in the pews of Sunderland Minster.
Balkan Periskop was created in February 2012 with the aim of organising cultural events that build bridges across the Balkan region through photography and raise the profile of contemporary Balkan photographers internationally.
6.30 – 10pm Friday 1st November
High Street West
Sunderland, Tyne and Wear SR1 3ET
